Buckingham First Day Covers

Why this is perfect for YOUR collection:

A Building that Grows out of the Land

The Scottish Parliament building was inspired by the Edinburgh landscape, the flower paintings by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the upturned boats on the seashore. Enric Miralles, one of the world's premier architects, developed a design that he said was a building "growing out of the land". Our cover was produced to celebrate the opening and is also an acclaimed design - crisp, clean and with a Scottish Thistle postmark! We also have a fantastic signature available: Deputy First Minister, Jim Wallace .

Quick Facts: Scottish Parliament is a First-day Cover Issue date (2004-10-04): 04 October 2004
