Why this is perfect for YOUR collection:
The Accession of King George V
On May 6th 1910, the 80th anniversary of the Penny Black, keen stamp collector, King George V succeeded Edward VII
Do you want to frame it?
All of our stamp sheets are available mounted, ready to frame. The mount is cream - nice and neutral, to work with your own colour scheme. It can be dropped into a standard 14x11 inch frame. The mounts are conservation quality and acid free. They are made especially for our stamp sheets and will not damage them over time if used as long-term storage. That means you can frame your sheets for the wall without risking your investment.
A good sailor and horseman, George was most known for his stamp collecting, establishing the Royal Collection as we know it today himself. He was to rule for 26 years until 1936 - the year of the 3 Kings.
Our limited edition stamp sheet presentation pack commemorates his Accession. The labels are reproductions of the Seahorse High Value stamps - one of the most popular sets ever issued in Britain.
The sheet shows pictures from George V's life, both private and public. There is a little biography of him to the right of the sheet - and of course, each sheet as always comes with a display card full of background information.
Each is a numbered limited edition.
Our signed editions are personally autographed by the Duke of Kent, a truly magnificent signature on this sheet. The Duke of Kent is a cousin to both the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, and the elder brother of Prince Michael of Kent and Princess Alexandra. His father, Prince George, was the fourth son of King George V and his mother, Princess Marina, was the daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece.
This sheet was automatically reserved for members of our general Stamp Sheet Club at the lowest possible price. It pays to buy Buckingham Stamp Sheets as soon as they are issued. If you wait, the chances are they will sell out and you'll end up paying more in the future. If you love our sheets, we recommend you join the Sheet Club. There are lots of perks and no commitment whatsoever!
