Farewell to Britain

QE2 has been the flagship of the Cunard fleet for over 30 years. She made her maiden voyage in 1969 and is one of the last great Transatlantic liners. With a capacity of over 2000 people and a host of facilities, every journey was luxury.

Limited Editions

This covers marks her last voyage around Britain. She left Southampton on the 30th September 2008, where the cover was postmarked and then carried onboard.

The cover features a 1969 QE2 stamp and a QE2 stamp label from our stunning Last Voyage of the QE2 stamp sheet.

QE2 Carried Triple Cover

We have a very special cover which was carried on board QE2's last voyage around Britain. It features a stamp and label from our QE2 sheet, which is postmarked on 2nd June 2008 - the day the Queen paid her farewell visit. It also has two Isle of Man stamps, one postmarked in Douglas on the 2nd June 2008 and the other on 13th January 2008, the day of issue. Each cover also bears a carried cachet. The cover reference is BCS06DBL
