Who are we?
Buckingham Covers is the UK's leading producer of collectable
first day and railway covers. The man behind the covers, Tony
Buckingham, built his first cover company, Benham from his boxroom
while still a teacher into an internationally known brand. He sold
Benham in 1995, retired in 1997 but found he missed the covers - so he
started again in 2000!

Our Rail Team
Tony Buckingham
The ideas for our railway
covers come from Tony Buckingham. As a small boy, Tony dispeared for
hours (if not days!), much to the despair of his mother. He was chasing
steam trains and visiting sheds! These days, his passion for railway
goes into creating the best railway covers around.
Sarah Bush
Our Rail Club is run by
another huge rail enthusiast, Sarah Bush. Sarah's love of trains was
inspired by her Dad and no family holiday was complete without a ride
on the nearest steam train. Sarah helps Tony with research for railway
covers, often writes the text on the back of the covers, looks after
our active Rail Club and is also a key member of the Buckingham Covers
customer service team.
Cath Buckingham
The covers are mostly designed by award winning designer, Cath
Buckingham. She is one of the world’s leading cover designers
and the winner of 8 Royal Mail awards for cover design and 3 Fasson
Awards for design and printing.
Izzy Fraser Underhill
Some of our newer railway covers are designed by bright young talent, Isobel Fraser
Underhill. Izzy is being trained by Cath to be the next generation of
superb cover designers! She really enjoys working on the railway covers
and likes to get a feeling of the period when designing them. She is also helping with the updating of the our web pages and in particular this site!
