1973 British Caledonian flown cover - BARGAIN AT JUST £3.50!
I am always looking for a great bargain to offer via this email service. It is not easy as it really wants a decent number to make it work, otherwise all I do is upset many of you! Well, I have found a fantastic 1973 FDC and at a price which you will love. This colourful cover was issued to commemorate the opening of the Sports Centre at Horley. It was flown by British Caledonian Airways (now part of BA) to Edinburgh where it received the special postmark. This issue is not that easy and I had never seen this before. If there were six then I suspect we would have charged £15-£20. It is the sort of cover that can fetch a lot of money. Just £3.50! This price will increase after this offer. A 65 YEAR OLD BARGAIN - SAVE £10!
A more expensive, but just as good, bargain. 1946 Victory Geniality cover with Don't waste bread slogan. This is generally regarded as the best FDC - the super slogan "Don't waste Bread" says it all. We were a very poor country after the war and food was rationed. These are normally £75.
