Fund-raising through coversThis section is for charities and other not-for-profit organisations that would like to know more about our fund-raising and find out if it could benefit them. Although we are a for-profit company, we find it very rewarding to be able to help good causes on the way. All of us are personally committed to helping charities and all our team members do a lot of individual fund-raising throughout the year. As a company, we aim to develop strategic partnerships with charities in order to generate funds. The most successful way of doing this is through our signed covers, where the money is raised through the generosity of the signatory. As you’ll see from the information about different charities that we’ve worked with, the amounts raised can vary from a few hundred pounds to well over £20k, depending on the scale and success of the project. There are three main ways we can work with non-for-profit organisations to generate funds: 1. Signed coversIf you have celebrity supporters who would be willing to sign covers for us, we would donate a set amount per signature back to you. The amount will vary according to who is signing but would never be less that £2 per signature. The overall amount will also depend on the number of covers signed but is not dependent on the number sold. Unlike most other companies, we want to ensure that the charity will always benefit from working with us and we guarantee the fee to you regardless of whether we manage to sell the covers or not. Please discuss this idea with us before approaching a potential signatory as we may not have a relevant cover for them to sign at the time. 2. Promoting our coversIf you have a newsletter, magazine or website and would like to feature our covers, we would pay 30% commission for each cover sold through you. We would process all the orders in-house. Offers like this can be very successful, especially if run alongside an accompanying article about the cover or about the event it commemorates. 3. Selling our covers directlyIf you have a shop, catalogue or other mail order facility, you could sell our covers. We will help you select the best stock to appeal to your customers and shop wrap each cover for you. We will arrange a special price with you (aiming to give you a 50% discount) and would confirm the retail price. All stock is on sale or return so anything unsold can be returned back to us and you need only pay for what you sell. If we are working with you in any of the capacities suggested above, we will willingly publicise your charity to our customers, perhaps by sending out your leaflets with our covers. As a small company with shareholders however, we do not have a charity donations budget and so cannot give direct donations. Please don’t embarrass us by asking for this because we will regrettably have to say no.
