Putting the classics in your collection

If you want to specialise in covers from a certain period, then our "classic cover clubs" are just for you. It's really a way of budgeting, setting your pace - and ending up with a total, inclusive collection of high quality covers from your chosen period.

Each club costs a set amount per month and goes on for a set length of time (which you agree to before you start). You can stop at any time you like, but if you decide to stick with it, you will finish with a complete of vintage covers.

Stirling Club (1953 - 1970)

During the Queen's 55 year reign, the face of cover collecting has changed and collecting all the covers that have been issued since 1953 can seem rather daunting. We wanted to take this worry away from what would be a fantastic thing to try and put together and we think we have managed this. The route we have gone is to split the collection at the end of 1970, so making it more achievable.

The First Phosphors (1962 - 1967)

Between 1962 and 1967 the GPO, as it was then, issued stamps both with, and without phosphor bands printed on them. This was to try out new sorting machines they were working with.
The phosphor stamps were only issued in certain parts of the country and this of course led them to being much rarer on first day cover, and are completely missing from some collections.
We offer here the chance to buy all 30 of these hard to find covers with the Phosphor Stamps for £30 per month over 2 years. The 1970's (1971 - 1977)

The 1970's are the point when collecting standards take a step up. The covers just seem to get more colourful, lots of interesting issues and special postmarks from up and down the country. The last few years has seen us build up a stock of these covers. Many dealers will tell you these are common, but we know differently. This club offers you the chance to build a collection of these issues, the maximum cost will be £25 per month , which will get you a high quality cover with a special or connected postmark.
