Paddington Bear's 50th Anniversary
Stop press! We are very excited to have been chosen to create the ONLY stamp sheet for Paddington Bear's 50th birthday in June this year. This has brought a smile to all our faces. We star the retro 1970s Paddington that we all loved on TV! The sheet is raising funds for Paddington's chosen charity, Action Medical Research.
Michael Bond, who created the iconic bear, says Paddington selected Action Medical Research because he is a bear who believes in value for money, and this is a charity that touches the lives of nearly everyone. They played a crucial role in developing the polio vaccine in the UK, ultrasound scanning in pregnancy, hip replacement surgery and more. The more we learn about them, the more keen we are to help them.
Helping to Save Lives at Sea
We were very proud to have worked with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution recently. So far this project has raised over £10,000 for RNLI to help them save lives at sea. Many people don't realise that the RNLI gets NO UK Government funding at all and the people who risk their lives to save others are volunteers. Anyone who loves the sea, to go swimming, sailing, fishing or anything else, knows just how important the work of the lifeboats is.
For those of you waiting for Barra signed covers, huge apologies. These have been very delayed. We are having problems collecting them from Barra. Please bear with us. They will be worth the wait, we promise.

We'd also like to welcome you to our new Stamp Sheet website. We'll be developing this over the next few months to include a Club Members' Area as well. We'd love to hear what you think of it.
