Best wishes, from the Buckingham team.
ONLINE ONLY AUCTION!For this week only, we are auctioning a ONE-OFF incredible Spitfire cover signed by no less than FIVE heroes of the Second World War. 3 of them are sadly no longer with us today. The cover alone is a 2003 classic and with this combination of signatures, it is UNIQUE. 50% of the profit from the auction will go to ChildLine, the charity for children in danger or distress. WEBSITE ONLY OFFERSAs always, tasty offers are springing up on our Pick of the Week page. Our policy is now: a new offer every week for a month, each getting better (for you) and madder (for us) as the weeks go on. The last week of each month will have a CRAZILY good offer. Everything will come down at the end of each month and we'll start again. Enjoy! This month, you can snap up 2 classic covers with exceptional genuine autographs. One is quite snortingly good whilst the other is simply magic. All offers stand until the end of May 2008. Don't forget, if you want Ellie to email you when she adds new offers (or covers or magazines) to this website, you need to register your email online. Doing that will also give you automatic entry into our bi-monthly prize draw! Paddington Bear's 50th AnniversaryStop press! We are very excited to have been chosen to create the ONLY stamp sheet for Paddington Bear's 50th birthday in June this year. This has brought a smile to all our faces. We star the retro 1970s Paddington that we all loved on TV! The sheet is raising funds for Paddington's chosen charity, Action Medical Research. Michael Bond, who created the iconic bear, says Paddington selected Action Medical Research because he is a bear who believes in value for money, and this is a charity that touches the lives of nearly everyone. They played a crucial role in developing the polio vaccine in the UK, ultrasound scanning in pregnancy, hip replacement surgery and more. The more we learn about them, the more keen we are to help them. Helping to Save Lives at SeaWe were very proud to have worked with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution recently. So far this project has raised over £10,000 for RNLI to help them save lives at sea. If you've placed an order, then THANK YOU! We couldn't have done it without you. If you haven't ordered yet, then why not have a look? You can now see all our beautiful limited editions that are helping the RNLI on one page! Click here to see our dedicated Lifeboats page. Many people don't realise that the RNLI gets NO UK Government funding at all and the people who risk their lives to save others are volunteers. Anyone who loves the sea, to go swimming, sailing, fishing or anything else, knows just how important the work of the lifeboats is. For those of you waiting for Barra signed covers, huge apologies. These have been very delayed. We are having problems collecting them from Barra. Please bear with us. They will be worth the wait, we promise. Website NewsFor railway enthusiasts, our site www.railwaycovers.co.uk now features an exclusive interview with leading railway artist, John Wigston! We'd also like to welcome you to our new Stamp Sheet website. We'll be developing this over the next few months to include a Club Members' Area as well. We'd love to hear what you think of it. We have lots of plans for our website this year, including a news page so you can quickly see what has been added and more articles. We'll keep you posted! We always love your feedback and read every email, although we can't promise to reply to each one personally (but we do our best). To have YOUR say about anything we do, just email us. We take your ideas and suggestions very seriously. A selection of our cover designsWe have raised over £300,000 for charity through our covers, including £25,000 to ChildLine. Much of this is thanks to the celebrities who generously sign our covers. And all of it is thanks to YOU, the collectors who buy our covers. Which organisations have we created covers for?. |
